Hapa 90 years anniversary event

Hapa celebrated its 90th anniversary

The celebration of the 90th anniversary of Hapa, the international technology and market leader for inline printing solutions in the pharmaceutical industry, has been an occasion to honor the company's long success story with a special employee event.

A celebration organized by the employees for the employees: in fact, the organizing committee, consisting of one representative from each area of the company, organized the entire celebration itself.

Barbara Schulz, Chief Executive Officer of Digital Printing Solutions, opened the afternoon of celebrations, then leaving the floor to Markus Suter, Hapa's Chief Finance Officer, for a look back at the company's past 90 years and a thank you to employees "25 or 40 years with the same company – this career path is by no means a matter of course these days – he said – That's why it fills us with pride that many of our employees have been an integral part of our company for so long. Their tireless commitment to Hapa as well as their professional and social competence is an important basis for our growth.”

Hapa AG was founded in Zurich in 1933 by Curt Bäbler under the name Handels- und Patentgesellschaft. At the beginning, the company's activities were limited to the manufacture of mechanical parts. An acquired patent for a printing machine (DRUMA) was then realized by Hapa itself in 1954. This versatile printing machine was produced until 2002 and sold several thousand times worldwide – the foundation stone for the company's entry into printing technology. Hapa finally achieved its breakthrough in the pharmaceutical industry in the 1970s with the world's first inline printing system for aluminum foils for blister machines.

Since joining the Italian Coesia Group in 2006, Hapa has continued to evolve and has become the market leader for inline printing solutions for the pharmaceutical industry. Time and again, the company has presented groundbreaking innovations in rapid succession. Today, the portfolio has grown into a range of highly efficient and reliable machines and workflow services specifically tailored to the needs of the pharmaceutical market.
